For red light running (RLR) 854 were killed and over 168,000 were injured. - Rear-end car accident injuries showed a 24 percent total decrease
From the research that has been done, it seems that the red light cameras have had a significant impact on saving lives. With cameras at the intersections, drunk drivers can be seen on camera, and you may be able to use that to your advantage.
