Damages

Damages in car accident cases can be defined as any economic or non-economic loss directly attributable to a given negligent action causing an accident. Common damage claims entail a wide range of financial concerns follow an accident, such as vehicle repairs, medical expenses, and lost wages from time lost at work. Other common non-economic damages, such as pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of quality of life, and loss of consortium are relatively difficult to quantify numerically as damages, but again, are deemed irreversible damages as well in some cases of auto accidents. All damages must be directly attributed to a given accident or incident, where another driver was deemed at-fault, either partially or entirely, in being liable for damages.
