What exactly I can expect as far as my possible recovery for this car accident and whiplash?
I experienced whiplash in a car accident. The other driver pulled out of a parking lot without looking and hit my car. They were going fast, and it sent my car careening. Their insurance company hasn’t sent me a settlement offer yet for my injuries. What exactly I can expect as far as my possible recovery for this car accident and whiplash? I’d like to know so I will know whether the offer they send me is reasonable.

A whiplash injury is a common consequence of a car accident, since the trajectory of car accidents often causes your head or neck to be thrown forward sharply. Whiplash can have long lasting consequences and you may experience pain and inhibited motion for years to come. In some cases, whiplash injury can even lead to chronic and untreatable pain that lingers for life. Unfortunately, soft tissue injuries can be difficult to diagnose and to prove. However, whiplash victims who are able to document their injuries can often recover damages for pain and suffering, medical bills, physical therapy, rehabilitation and lost wages if the injury renders them unable to work. You should consult with both a physician and a personal injury attorney before signing any settlement agreements to ensure that the full extent and implications of your injury are understood and that you are fairly compensated for your condition.
