In Idaho, Homicide After Horrific Car Wreck

Boise, Idaho - Boise Police have charged a man with 2 counts of 2nd degree Murder after a horrific car wreck that killed a woman and a child. The incident occurred at 6:31 a.m. on Franklin east of Cloverdale.

Officers, who were on the scene within moments, also discovered evidence of a homicide that had apparently just occurred outside the city. The evidence connected to the homicide is the severed head of a woman. The head was in the suspect vehicle, a Dodge Ram pick up, and ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Officers found the head lying in the road some distance from the pick up.

“This crime scene is as tragic as it is bizarre and complex,” said Boise Police Deputy Chief Mike Webb.

Arrested: Alofa Time, 51, Nampa

Charged: 2 cts 2nd degree Homicide.

What Happened: Accident investigators say the pick up was traveling east bound on Franklin when the driver crossed the center line and hit a Nissan Sentra traveling westbound.

Inside the Nissan were a woman and two children. The woman and one child were killed. The second child remains hospitalized.

“The Homicide charge goes to intent,” said Chief Webb. “Our detectives have evidence that leads them to believe this car wreck was not an accident, but was intentionally caused by the suspect.”

This mornings accident was actually witnessed by a Boise Police Patrol Officer. He was traveling on Franklin the same direction as the suspect, some distance behind but able to see the suspect vehicle begin to drive erratically then cross the center line into oncoming traffic. The first responding officers tried to render aid to the victims at the scene and then quickly took the driver of the pick up into custody.
