The Victim's Body In The River According To The ISP Press Release

PRINCETON-The Gibson County Sheriff's Dept. confirmed Friday that Mary J. Richardson, 75, of Petersburg, was the driver who died after her truck drove off Ind. 65 and struck a tree.

According to the Sheriff's Dept. report Richardson's most severe injuries were internal

In information released Friday afternoon, the Gibson County Coroner's office listed the cause of Richardson's death as multiple blunt impact trauma with a cervical fracture.

According to police, the Sheriff's Dept. had not been able to determine the reason why Richardson's vehicle ran off the roadway.

In other law enforcement news, the Indiana State Police announced they had found the body of a Perry County woman Friday, who had been missing since Wednesday.

According to police, Terri Lee Wheeler, 43, was reported missing by her husband at 7 p.m. Wednesday after he after he had not heard from her since 2 p.m. of the same day. Her red 1990 Suzuki was also reported missing to police.
 
Thursday, Wheeler's purse containing her identification were found by the Ohio River, near Derby.

Police search of the area discovered the vehicle and the victim's body in the river, according to the ISP press release. Police said Wheeler was found in the driver's seat and wearing her seat belt.

The incident remains under investigation by the ISP.

Also Friday, a driver on U.S. 41 in Haubstadt told police another vehicle forced him off the road causing his car to flip on its side.

According to the Gibson County Sheriff's Dept. accident report, Sharol A. Paris, 44, of Princeton was traveling north on U.S. 41 when an unidentified vehicle started to pull into his lane causing Sharol to drive off the road.

Sharol's 2004 Mitsubishi Montero flipped on its side after driving off the roadway. Sharol complained of pain to his leg, but refused medical treatment.

Gibson County Prosecutor Rob Krieg announced Friday that Travis J. Carroll, 23, of Mt. Carmel, Ill., had pleaded guilty in Superior Court to possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, a Class B felony.

Carroll was sentenced to 10 years in prison to be served in the Indiana Department of Corrections
