Man Dies In Fatal Car Accident
A man critically injured in a head-on collision has died of his injuries.
The 20-year-old Shreveport man was driving his 2001 Honda Accord eastbound on West 70th near Kennedy Drive when he crossed the center line, striking a 2000 Ford F-150 driven by Mark A. Pastrovich, 55, of Kansas City, Missouri. The driver of the Accord was taken to LSU Hospital with critical injuries. Meanwhile, Pastrovich was taken to Willis Knighton North with moderate injuries. He is slated to be released.
Nine tablets of ecstacy were found in the Accord, but an investigation is underway to determine whether the driver was under the influence of the drugs. Neither of the victims appeared to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The investigation into this case continues. Once family notification has been made, the man's name will be released.
