Car accident witness reports are written reports which are generated as a consequence of an automobile accident. Typically, a car accident witness report is made by an investigating police officer at the accident scene, if there are witnesses present at the location. Additionally, a car accident witness report may be created following an accident pursuant to an insurance investigation or by an attorney for an insurance carrier or either party involved in the accident.
